The temperature dependences of the spontaneous polarization and specific heat and the electrocaloric effect are studied for DGN crystals in the wide temperature region and near the temperature of phase transition. All thedata are summarized within the framework of the thermodynamical theory of ferroelectricity. The coefficients of the thermodynamical potential expansion and their temperature dependences are determined. The effect of γ-irradiation upon specific heat is studied.
