Three stem borers, Busseola fusca, Chilo partellus and Sesamia calamistis. attacked sorghum. B. fusca was widely distributed from 1290 to 2530 m above sea level and it was predominant in 95% of the sites. C. partellus and S. calamistis were found in lower altitude areas. Three larval parasitoids, Cotesia flavipes, Dolichogenidea fuscivora and Megaselia scalaris, were recorded but they made little contribution to controlling stem borers, with only 8% parasitism.
