Why the study?
Heart disease treatment has evolved significantly over the past 30 years, prompting a review of recent advances in catheter and device therapies for structural heart disease, arrhythmias, and heart failure in relation to cardiac rehabilitation.
This review outlines recent advances in minimally invasive catheter and device treatments for structural heart disease, arrhythmias, and heart failure, highlighting their applicability to high-risk patients and integration with cardiac rehabilitation.
May support integrated device-rehabilitation strategies in high-risk patients; leaves open prospective randomized confirmation.
