A study was made of ferrocyanide containing materials that are used for extraction of cesium from sea water, environmental and biological samples, and reactor fuel reprocessing waste. A compilation was made of distribution coefficient, capacity, and selectivity with respect to Cs/K. A comparison is made between granular ferrocyanides and other extractants prepared by precipitation of a ferrocyanide on a substrate of glass fibers or macroreticular materials.
