The evolution, under magnetic field, of the configuration of magnetic domains in high purity iron, in presence of defects (grain boundaries, dislocations) is observed by high voltage electron microscopy, on thick films (700 nm). The domains are revealed by the displaced aperture method. A pinning effect, due to isolated dislocations and tangles, is shown, besides magnetostatic effects due to grain boundaries. The strength of this pinning effect depends on the nature and the arrangement of dislocations.
