VAFB-2021-05: Results of Archaeological Subsurface Survey Excavations in Support of the Proposed Highway 246 South Base Communications Line Project, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California

This document is a letter report that presents the results of an archaeological study supporting the proposed Highway 246 South Base Communications Line Project on Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County, California. The report provides a summary of the purpose of the project and details the subsurface testing that was performed to determine the presence of a buried deposit within or near the proposed project activity locations identified in the report. The project calls for three boring locations and the report details the results of excavating a total of six shovel test units at these locations. Excavations yielded no cultural material.
