Paenibacillus ottowii strain NPK-n18 was isolated from soybean rhizosphere of a 50 year fertilized soybeanbarley rotation field in Korea.Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing produced a complete circular chromosome of 5,655,603 bp (45.2% GC) encoding 5,254 protein-coding sequences.Average nucleotide identity (97.2%) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (75.3%) to the type strain confirmed the species. The genome carried 2,059 coding sequences with plant growth-promoting trait hits and biosynthetic gene clusters for antifungal metabolites, and encoded candidate enzymes for glyphosate degradation-traits recently demonstrated in this species-supporting its potential for sustainable agriculture.
