This article examines the criteria and methods for diagnosing the pedagogical effectiveness of higher education. The study focuses on the need to assess not only students’ academic achievements but also the quality of teaching, pedagogical interaction, learning motivation, professional competencies, independent learning, and the effectiveness of educational technologies. A system of diagnostic criteria and indicators is proposed for evaluating pedagogical effectiveness at the institutional and instructional levels. The study applies theoretical analysis, comparative analysis, observation, questionnaire, expert assessment, and pedagogical diagnostics. The proposed diagnostic framework allows higher education institutions to identify strengths and weaknesses in the educational process and develop evidence-based measures for improving teaching quality.
