Rolling piston compressors are widely used in household air conditioners. However, their performance is markedly limited by compressor vibrations. Therefore, this study analyzed the vibration mechanisms of a rolling piston compressor. First, the forces acting on the main moving parts of the compressor were analyzed. Additionally, the unbalanced inertial forces and dynamic equation of the crankshaft rotor system were integrated with the motion characteristics. Secondly, the dynamic equations were used to analyze the crankshaft deformation and its influence on the unbalanced force was analyzed. Subsequently, by applying the unbalanced force and torque obtained from the analysis, the transient dynamic characteristics of the compressor was simulated. In addition, the vibration distribution of the entire compressor was calculated, which was then experimentally verified. Finally, using the proposed vibration simulation method, vibration-reduction measures were developed based on balance-weight and rubber-pad optimization. This study presents an effective simulation-based prediction method for the vibration of rolling piston compressors, providing a reliable basis for vibration-reduction design.
