Supports GDMT for EF recovery in post-myocarditis DCM; extends evidence to this phenotype.
Raul L. Lapitan (2023) conducted a case report in HIV-associated cardiomyopathy, Heart Failure, Myocarditis (n=1). Guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure (Sacubitril/Valsartan, Empagliflozin, Carvedilol, Furosemide) was evaluated on Left ventricular ejection fraction. Guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure improved the patient's ejection fraction from 40% to 60% over 77 days, with cardiac MRI revealing a post-myocarditis pattern of dilated cardiomyopathy.
