Mitochondria, the primary site of energy production in eukaryotes, have traditionally been interpreted merely as a chemical ATP supply source. However, the physiological significance of the massive electrostatic field of approximately −180mV maintained by its inner membrane and the physical nano-rotational movement of ATP synthase cannot be fully explained solely within the framework of classical biochemistry. In this paper, we overcome the metaphor that regards life as a “computer” computing specific algorithms, and propose a verifiable model that redefines mitochondria as the “core power unit of the in vivo analog quantum synchronizer (phase synchronizer: Bio-QPU).” We formulate a mechanism wherein the extreme electric field of the inner mitochondrial membrane functions as an active electrostatic shield replacing the vacuum chamber of an artificial computer, protecting and initializing the quantum state of the 31P nuclear spin from fatal phase noise (Phase Jitter); simultaneously, its rotational movement periodically emits coherent spin wave pulses (master clock). This serves as the foundation to phase-synchronize the Bio-QPU network across the entire cell to environmental waves in accordance with “LUCA’s Theorem” rather than to output specific calculation results, supporting “selective decoherence” which sublimates decoherence—an error in artificial machines—into a function.
