Key result
Complex therapy is linked to ~2-point greater GLS improvement vs standard treatment in diabetic cardiomyopathy.
Why the study?
The clinical, metabolic, and cardiac effects of comprehensive therapy compared to standard treatment in patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy were not well characterized.
Does complex therapy improve echocardiographic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy compared to standard treatment?
Cohort (n=87)
Does complex therapy improve echocardiographic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy compared to standard treatment?
Complex therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy significantly improves echocardiographic markers of myocardial strain and diastolic function compared to standard care over 6 months.

Ф.А. Икрамова (2026) conducted a cohort in Type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy (n=87). Complex therapy vs. Standard treatment was evaluated on Global longitudinal strain (GLS). Complex therapy improved global longitudinal strain to -17.6% compared to -15.4% with standard treatment at 6 months in patients with type 2 diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy.
