This study investigates the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in academic operations at the University of Science and Technology–Aden, focusing on its benefits and implementation challenges. A quantitative descriptive approach was adopted, using a survey of 22 participants comprising faculty members, administrators, and technical support staff. The findings indicate strong agreement regarding the benefits of ICT, particularly the contribution of modern computing hardware and networking infrastructure to university performance. However, challenges persist, including limited access to computers for some users. Participants emphasized the importance of providing appropriate technological tools and strengthening staff members’ technical skills. The study highlights the need to improve access to ICT resources and develop the technical competencies of university leaders and teaching staff to support effective technology use and enhance students’ learning experiences.
