Dholakia et al. (2026) conducted a cross-sectional in Suspected cardiac and non-cardiac conditions (n=142). Creatine Kinase-MB (CK-MB) testing vs. Cardiac Troponin I testing was evaluated on Diagnostic accuracy (true positive and true negative rates) of CK-MB compared to Cardiac Troponin I (True positive rate 86.0%, True negative rate 39.13%). Creatine kinase-MB testing correctly identified 86.0% of cases with elevated troponin I but only 39.13% of cases with normal troponin I, indicating poor overall diagnostic performance.
