The transition into Society 5.0 has intensified global competition for skilled human capital, compelling organizations to redesign talent management (TM) practices around human-technology synergy rather than automation alone. Although literature on digital transformation and human resource management has grown substantially, prior studies remain fragmented across disciplinary silos, regional contexts, and isolated TM sub-functions, leaving an integrative understanding of TM strategies for retaining top talent under Society 5.0 underexplored. This study addresses that gap through a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA protocol, synthesizing findings from twenty-five peer-reviewed articles published between 2022 and 2026 and drawn from Scopus-indexed and other reputable international journals. Screening and eligibility procedures narrowed an initial pool of one hundred eighty-five records to twenty-five studies meeting inclusion criteria of direct relevance to talent management, retention, and Society 5.0 or digital-era human resource contexts. Thematic synthesis identifies five interrelated strategy clusters: digital HR infrastructure, human-centered reskilling and upskilling, psychological empowerment and engagement, career and leadership development, and sustainability-oriented employer branding. Results indicate that retention outcomes are strongest when digital enablement is paired with human-centric practices rather than treated as a substitute for them. The study proposes an integrative Society 5.0 talent retention framework and offers practical implications for HR practitioners navigating hybrid human-technology work environments
