Salinity stress constrains medicinal plant productivity, particularly in coastal and salt affected agroecosystems where rapid, deployable diagnostics are essential. Here, we develop an AI‐enabled RGB light‐to‐frequency proximal sensing platform integrated with Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) for nondestructive, real‐time salinity discrimination. Plants are exposed to three salinity levels (0, 100, and 200 mM NaCl). RGB‐derived and CIELAB chromatic descriptors are engineered, normalized, and partitioned (75:25) into training and test datasets. ReliefF‐based feature ranking and systematic subset optimization are combined with supervised learning using fivefold cross‐validation, and interpretability is achieved through SHAP analysis. Biomass reductions under saline treatments confirm physiological perturbations underlying spectral variability. Subspace KNN achieved the highest predictive performance (96.28% validation; 95.55% independent test accuracy). Framing model selection as a multiobjective optimization problem identified an optimal 10‐feature subset. Under this constraint, a Wide Neural Network attained 0.904 accuracy with an ultracompact 0.017 MB model size and >246 000 observations s −1 inference speed, demonstrating full TinyML compatibility. SHAP attribution consistently highlighted green intensity, blue channel metrics, and chromatic ratios as dominant predictors. This work establishes a lightweight, interpretable Edge‐AI framework for scalable, real‐time salinity diagnostics in precision agriculture.
