This study examines the effectiveness of the ethnomathematics approach on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in Indonesia through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The research procedure refers to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA 2020) stages, including identification, selection, eligibility, and inclusion of relevant scientific articles in the 2020-2025 period. Data sources were obtained from SINTA-indexed national journals retrieved from Google Scholar using Harzing’s Publish or Perish application. After screening 400 records 16 articles met the inclusion criteria, with the research focus on examining ethnomathematics and mathematical problem-solving abilities. The results of the study indicate that, in general, the ethnomathematics approach effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. These findings imply that integrating culturally relevant contexts into mathematics instruction can serve as an effective pedagogical strategy to enhance students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Future research is recommended to investigate the implementation of ethnomathematics across a wider range of educational levels, mathematical topics, and learning models to further strengthen the evidence regarding its effectiveness.
