The international circulation of French cinema increasingly considers the dissemination of promotional materials as a first form of translation, even before viewing. Posters, titles and digital content create a key paratextual space for the reception of films in different markets. From the perspective of paratranslation, we propose to study how these materials are adapted and reinterpreted in the English and Spanish. This study focuses on Anatomy of a Fall and Monsieur Aznavour, two recent films of different genres, which will allow us to observe how tone and genre can condition promotional strategies. Our aim is to highlight the role of paratexts in the translation and presentation of contemporary French cinema.
