Doloksanggul Regional Hospital's pediatric inpatient room had a 75.95% patient and family satisfaction value in the June period (first semester of 2023). Beyond that, Doloksanggul Regional Hospital has not yet reached its goal of 80% patient and family satisfaction in the pediatric inpatient wards. Not even close to meeting the National Quality Indicators' baseline requirement. This study used a quantitative cross-sectional methodology to examine the key variables influencing service quality and patient satisfaction in the pediatric inpatient unit at Doloksanggul Regional Hospital in the year 2024. Doloksanggul Regional Hospital in Humbang Hasundutan Regency was the site of the research. From February to April of the year 2024, the study will begin. This project aims to gather information from 80 individuals, who are either family members or guardians of children who will be admitted to the Children's Inpatient Room on a monthly basis in 2023. A minimum of 45 respondents were acquired through the use of the Slovin formula for sample selection in this research. Final findings from the study: In the children's inpatient room at Doloksanggul Hospital, patient satisfaction is influenced by a number of factors, including waiting time, the reception process, the physical environment, and doctor consultations. Among these variables, waiting time has the strongest correlation with patient satisfaction. When it comes to pediatric patients, accompanying families tend to be more anxious than other types of patients. Additionally, patients who have fussy children tend to be less satisfied with the wait periods for services. Doloksanggul Regional Hospital is anticipated to improve patient satisfaction by establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Children's Inpatient Room's waiting times and by providing pleasant waiting room facilities (e.g., additional units) for patients to use while they wait for services. TV and playing kid-friendly movies can keep kids occupied while they wait.
