It has been demonstrated that helical resonators have internal radio-frequency field distributions of sufficient volume and homogeneity to be used for magnetic resonance experiments. The high Q factors of these resonators makes them very suitable detectors of resonance absorption at low frequencies; two types of electron spin resonance spectrometer using these devices are described.
