Urban Communities are forms of irregular occupation characterized by precarious infrastructure, disorderly urban planning, and social limitations that directly affect access to basic and essential services, including leisure. The objective was to identify and map existing leisure areas in the Alto da Ressurreição urban community, located in the Southeast Zone of Teresina, Piauí. The research used documentary, bibliographic, and field procedures, as well as geoprocessing techniques using Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) software, Google Street View, and data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The results showed that, despite the large territorial extension of the Alto da Ressurreição community, there were a limited number of public leisure areas, distributed unevenly and, in some cases, located on the outskirts of the inhabited perimeter. Urban voids with potential for the implementation of new facilities were also identified. It was concluded that the current supply is insufficient to meet local demand, reinforcing the need for urban planning that prioritizes leisure, inclusion, and social justice.
