Genome assembly reveals 11 chromosomal pseudomolecules and 23,438 protein-coding genes in fan worm, highlighting its genetic complexity.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a specimen of <ns3:italic>Protula</ns3:italic> sp. h YS-2021 (fan worm; Annelida; Polychaeta; Sabellida; Serpulidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 863.48 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.04%) is scaffolded into 11 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 21.32 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 23,438 protein-coding genes.</ns3:p>
