Analysis of graduates' views on vocational rehabilitation and improvement strategies for DIEK, highlighting the role of the Erasmus+ program.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the attitudes and views of graduates of the Public Vocational Training Institute (DIEK) of Patras regarding their vocational rehabilitation. In particular, it is investigated whether there is immediate vocational rehabilitation in the specialty they were trained in, as well as the reasons why this was not possible. The added value of the Erasmus+ mobility program and the submission of proposals for the improvement of the institution are also explored. The results showed that a large percentage of trainees had immediate vocational rehabilitation and that those who participated in European programs found employment more easily. Finally, in the proposals for the improvement of the institution of IEK, they mention the existence of a liaison office connected to the labor market, the modernization of the teaching material, the existence of an ebook for each course that will act as a guide, better laboratories in combination with the increase of laboratory courses and availability of training materials in them.
