Extension project on Ilha do Marajó: cocreation and importance of the new SDG

This article presents the foundations of a research and extension project focused on the application of participatory and sustainable design on Marajó Island (Pará), anchored in the concept of Good Living. The proposal is linked to SDGs 18, 19 and 20, suggested by researchers from UnB and UNESP, which seek to complement the UN's 2030 Agenda with a perspective that is more sensitive to Brazilian realities. Through a bibliographic review and preliminary fieldwork, design concepts in peripheral contexts and visual and material cultures of the Amazonian tradition are discussed, aiming to value local knowledge.
