New analytical procedure shows precise estimation of brivaracetam in liquid form, suggesting reliability.
A new method was established for estimation of Brivaracetam by UHPLC method. The chromatographic conditions were successfully developed for the Brivaracetam by using C18 column (3mm×50mm with 3 microns), flow rate was 0.3ml/min, mobile phase ratio was (80:10:10v/v) Acetonitrile: Buffer (phosphate buffer) pH 3.0 to 4.5 (adjusted with orthophosphoric acid), detection wavelength was 215nm. The instrument used was AGLIENT UHPLC model: 1220 infinity, software – open lab – chemstation. In compliance with ICH criteria, the analytical procedure was verified (ICH, Q2). According to the linearity investigation, the concentration range of brivaracetam was 4.94 mcg/ml to 14.81 mcg/ml, and the correlation coefficient (R2) was 0.9999. The precision study was repeatable, reliable, and accurate.
