The purpose of this study is to examine the internal and external variables that contribute to the problems with BTQ instruction at SMK Pemuda Krian. Descriptive qualitative research methodology is employed, and data is gathered by documentation, observation, and interviews. The findings demonstrated that motivation, IQ, curiosity, and aptitude for pronouncing Arabic letters are among the internal elements influencing class X DKV students' capacity to read the Qur'an. The primary challenges include the impact of regional dialects, limited fundamental understanding of makharijul huruf and tajweed, and challenges in pronouncing hijaiyah letters according to Makhraj. The family setting, parental support, and the educational strategies used by teachers are examples of important external elements.
