The Role of Human Engineering Factors in Enabling Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certification: Evidence from Jordanian Food Industry

The objective of this research was to analyse the influence of human engineering on the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certification within companies operating in the food industry of Jordan.The descriptive method was utilized to examine the relationship between the primary and secondary variables in five Jordanian food industry companies.A total of 283 questionnaires were collected for the study, of which 500 were distributed; all of the completed questionnaires were subjected to statistical analysis.The study's findings revealed a statistically significant effect on a moral level (0.05) of the human engineering dimensions (Design Factors, Environmental Factors, and Organizational Factors) on the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the Jordanian Food Industry.The findings of this study contain a significant point regarding the establishment of a suitable workplace that considers the facets of human engineering.This is crucial for the growth of research organizations and will yield positive outcomes in the near future.Establishing an optimal working environment can be accomplished through the implementation of soundproofing measures in the offices, such as insulating the walls and windows.Additionally, mandating rest periods for employees during shift changes can help prevent physical and mental strain, accidents, and work-related injuries, all of which have the potential to adversely affect physical activity.
