Abstract In this protocol we demonstrate an approach to the left ventricle of the mouse for an injection of sterile saline; the injection can be done with cells, therapeutics, or other injectates, to suit research needs. This technique offers a minimally invasive yet highly reproducible approach for efficacious results with minimal impact on the mouse. The second version of this protocol substitutes an image for the Troubleshooting section due to formatting issues on the website and adds an additional acknowledgement.
