This analysis reveals the effectiveness of high-tech enterprises’ strategies in boosting competitiveness, highlighting innovation activity within import substitution frameworks.
Currently, domestic industrial enterprises, including high-tech companies, are implementing strategies for functioning and development in the context of import substitution programs, which actualizes the importance of studying the competitiveness of their products. The study of the effectiveness of high-tech enterprises implementing development strategies in the context of import substitution was conducted using methods of qualitative and quantitative dynamic assessment according to the criteria of VRIN-signs of resources, results and efficiency of activities (Valuable - meaning the high importance of a resource to ensure the effective functioning and development of the enterprise, and the result - for use by the consumer; Rarethe rarity of this resource / result; Imperfectly imitable and Non-substitutable - the inability for competitors to reproduce (copy) this resource / result). The authors substantiate the directions of improving the development strategy of high-tech enterprises in order to increase the competitiveness of their products in the context of import substitution based on the results of a dynamic qualitative assessment of the VRIN-effectiveness of their activities; 6 variants of strategies implemented in the context of extensive, mixed and intensive import substitution policy are identified, which makes it possible to develop differentiated tools to stimulate innovation activity for a specific business entity. The approbation of the author's methods is presented on the example of two high-tech enterprises in the Chelyabinsk region and allowed us to substantiate specific measures aimed at improving their development strategy.
