This project presents a new extraction technique to enhance rosemary's therapeutic effects in patients with coagulation disorders, suggesting a non-invasive treatment option.
Abstract: "This project presents an original methodology for the high-purity extraction of Rosmarinus officinalis using a closed-system dry distillation protocol. As a Biochemical Technology Engineer and a Medical Laboratory Technician, I have analyzed the resulting lipophilic fractions (rich in 1,8-cineole and camphor) and their synergistic interactions with ethanol. The research establishes a clinical rationale for using a 1.5% rosemary-lipid infusion (based on Castor and Hypericum oils) to manage chronic venous stasis and lymphoedema. This non-invasive topical approach is specifically designed for high-risk patients, such as those with Factor IX deficiency (Hemophilia B), where surgical or aggressive interventions are contraindicated. The study further identifies Hypericum perforatum as an essential biochemical buffer to modulate acute hyperemic responses during treatment."
