Synthesis of quinazolinethione derivatives demonstrates potential for new phosphonates, indicating significant chemical modifications.
A series of 3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-4-aryl-8-arylidene-2(1H)-quinazolinethiones was obtained by the reaction of cyclohexanone bis-chalcones with thiourea. Further modification using chloroethynylphosphonate afforded a series of new phosphorylated thiazolo[2,3-b]quinazoline derivatives.
