Qualitative study explores how high school teachers' views on AI affect their teaching, suggesting implications for classroom practices.
This study examined how high school teachers' perception of artificial intelligence influenced their teaching effectiveness. Using a qualitative design and semi-structured interviews, I explored teacher perspectives across three areas: instructional design, assessment, and classroom management. Findings showed that teachers used AI as a support rather than a substitute, relying on professional judgment to guide its use. Clear boundaries around assessment and instructional authority were identified. Teachers’ experiences and school contexts shaped how they integrated AI into practice. Overall, the study shows that AI’s impact depends less on the technology itself and more on how teachers interpret and apply it in real classroom settings.
