Randomized trial demonstrates effective synthesis of aryl sulfides in room temperature reactions, suggesting broad applicability.
This paper presents a catalyst‐free protocol for the synthesis of unsymmetrical aryl sulfides from Grignard reagents and commercially available diaryl disulfides. The cross‐coupling reaction occurs at room temperature and demonstrates significant functional group tolerance, facilitating the production of various unsymmetrical diaryl sulfides with yields ranging from 41% to 91%.
