Archaeological evaluation reveals no significant findings in Crawley, suggesting limited historical value.
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to undertake an archaeological evaluation of a 0.41ha parcel of land located in Paddockhurst Rd, Turners Hill, Crawley. The evaluation originally comprised of 7 trial trenches (each measuring 10m by 2m). Due to onsite constraints such as detected underground services 4 of 7 trenches had to be aborted. Made ground deposits were present across the site directly overlaying the natural geology indicating that the site had been previously truncated. No archaeological features were identified in the course of the investigation and no finds were retrieved.
