Supporting manufacturing industries concerning solid waste management not only reduces environmental effects but also encourages the production of sustainable products, which promotes a sustainable environment. This study aimed to determine the determinants that influence Shaggar city manufacturing firms’ decisions to apply one of the solid waste disposal methods. The study provides a fresh viewpoint by concentrating on the factors that influence firms’ solid waste disposal practices, a subject that has received little attention. A total of 303 manufacturing companies were chosen at random based on their proportion, and the researchers recruited five enumerators from ten selected sub-cities to gather primary data via structured questionnaires. The multinomial logit model was used for the study’s objective and involved a dependent variable with unordered categories. The results of the multinomial logit models show that the existence of solid waste disposal facilities, innovation practices by firms, wastewater treatment facilities, initial investment by firms, incentives provided by the government, environmental rehabilitation costs, and R&D costs are among the factors that determine industrial firms’ adoption of industrial solid waste disposal techniques. Fostering eco-friendly industries and products requires collaboration among the government, firms, and society. It is essential to create incentives for factories to invest in sustainable practices and provide support such as training for effective waste recycling.
