Does bretylium improve survival and arrhythmia response in patients with resistant ventricular tachycardia?
Bretylium appears highly efficacious for right ventricular tachycardia and inferior myocardial infarction-associated VT, but less effective for left ventricular tachycardia associated with anterior ischemia or infarction.
Cohen et al. (1973) studied this question.
