Purpose: To examine the effectiveness and feasibility of self-applied quadriceps kinesiotaping (KT) and/or a home exercise program (HEP) in older adults with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Methods: Seventy-five adults (older than 50 years) with knee OA were randomized to KT-only, KT + HEP, or HEP-only for 4 weeks after a single instructional session. Outcomes included pain, strength, balance, ROM, and knee function (ShortMAC). Results: All groups improved; KT + HEP demonstrated superior gains across all outcomes ( P < .001; effect size = 0.50-0.82). Adherence exceeded 85% in all groups. Conclusion: Self-applied quadriceps KT is feasible and effective in knee OA, with KT + HEP producing the greatest benefit.
