Does sublingual nifedipine alter hemodynamics and left ventricular outflow tract gradient in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?
Sublingual nifedipine causes peripheral vasodilation and reflex tachycardia in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which can worsen left ventricular outflow tract obstruction in patients with a significant drop in peripheral vascular resistance.
