Rodent post-MI data show mRNA downregulation need not reduce metabolic protein expression or activity; hypothesis-generating for PPAR/RXR pathways in human HF.
Does myocardial infarction-induced heart failure alter the mRNA and protein expression of PPARalpha, RXRalpha, and regulated metabolic proteins in a rodent model?
In a rodent model of heart failure, reduced mRNA expression of PPAR/RXR regulated genes is not dependent on reduced PPAR/RXR protein expression, and does not necessarily translate to reduced protein expression or activity.
