Experimental study demonstrates room-temperature synthesis of thiazolane derivatives using N-formylmorpholine under solvent-free conditions, indicating a rapid route to diverse chemical scaffolds.
N-formylmorpholine accelerated synthesis of thiazolane derivatives by employing of three-component reactions of primary amines, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates and isothiocyanates under solvent-free conditions at room temperature in a good yield. The above synthetic procedure offers rapid access to novel and diversely substituted thiazolane derivatives.
