Fractionation of nucleic acids from polio-infected HeLa cells revealed several peaks in addition to the bulk of infectious viral RNA.
Additional peaks in polio-infected cell RNA warrant identification; leaves open their roles in replication.
The nucleic acids synthesised in poliovirus infected HeLa cells in the presence of actinomycin D were fractionated by means of a methylated albumin column. Beside the bulk of infectious viral RNA several other peaks were observed.
