Does not support changes in clinical management; leaves open regional vascular adaptations during human pregnancy.
Kim et al. (1994) studied Pregnancy (animal model). Pregnancy vs. Nonpregnant state was evaluated on Vascular reactivity (relaxation to ACh and contraction to U-46619) in mesenteric and renal arteries. Pregnancy increased acetylcholine-stimulated relaxation and reduced the threshold concentration for U-46619 contraction in mesenteric arteries, but had no effect on renal arteries in guinea pigs.
