Sequential carnitine therapy reduces asthenic syndrome manifestations compared to basic therapy in cardiovascular disease.
Why the study?
The anti-asthenic effect of sequential levocarnitine and acetylcarnitine therapy in patients with arterial hypertension and/or ischemic heart disease with asthenic syndrome was evaluated.
Does sequential levocarnitine and acetylcarnitine therapy improve asthenic syndrome in patients with arterial hypertension and/or ischemic heart disease?

Statsenko et al. (2022) studied Arterial hypertension and/or ischemic heart disease with asthenic syndrome (n=120). Sequential levocarnitine and acetylcarnitine vs. Basic therapy alone was evaluated on Severity of asthenic syndrome (assessed by MFI-20 and VAS-A). Sequential levocarnitine and acetylcarnitine therapy significantly reduced asthenic syndrome manifestations compared to basic therapy alone in patients with cardiovascular diseases.
