This study aims to develop a valid and practical Canva-based mathematics instructional video on geometric sequences and series and to examine changes in students’ learning outcomes after its use. The study was motivated by students’ low conceptual understanding of geometric sequences and series, an abstract mathematical topic, as well as the limited variety of instructional media used by teachers. The instructional video was developed using Canva to integrate visual and audio elements in presenting the material and to support students’ understanding of abstract mathematical concepts. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects were 30 tenth-grade students at a Madrasah Aliyah in Bojonegoro. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and a learning outcomes test. The validation results showed that the developed instructional video obtained average scores of 89.7% from the material expert and 91.2% from the media expert, indicating a highly valid product. The practicality scores were 87.5% from the teacher and 85.3% from the students, indicating that the instructional video was highly practical. N-Gain analysis showed an increase in students’ mean scores from 62.4 to 82.7, with an N-Gain score of 0.54, categorized as moderate. These results indicate an improvement in students’ learning outcomes following the use of the instructional video, although the magnitude of the improvement was moderate. Thus, the developed Canva-based mathematics instructional video meets the criteria for validity and practicality and was accompanied by an improvement in students’ learning outcomes on geometric sequences and series.
