Healthcare sector contributes significantly to environmental challenges through resource consumption, waste generation, and supply chain activities. This is particularly true in developing countries where sustainable healthcare infrastructure remains limited. This study examines the relationships among employees’ awareness and attitudes, organizational support, and green supply chain management practices in Bangladeshi hospitals. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Resource-Based View. We collected data from 436 healthcare professionals and analyzed them using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4. The findings suggest that employees’ environmental awareness and attitudes are associated with GSCM practices both directly and indirectly through organizational support. Organizational support is strongly associated with GSCM adoption and partially mediates the relationship between awareness and attitudes and GSCM practices. It may not be sufficient to explain sustainable supply chain practices without supportive organizational mechanisms such as leadership commitment, environmental training, and resource allocation. This study contributes contextual evidence on GSCM adoption in healthcare organizations operating in a resource-constrained developing-country setting. The findings also provide practical insights for strengthening sustainability initiatives within hospitals.
