Objective: Student participation in Pancasila Education remains low, although civic participatory skills are essential for connecting knowledge with real action. Initial observation showed that only 28.9% of students were active in regular lessons. This study aims to determine the effect of Smart Box learning media on the civic participatory skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA Batik 2 Surakarta. Methods: This quantitative, causal-comparative (ex post facto) study involved 70 students selected through purposive sampling from a population of 156 students. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed in SPSS 27 through normality, linearity, Product Moment correlation, and simple linear regression tests. Results: Smart Box use was positively and significantly related to civic participatory skills (r = 0.339; p = 0.004), accounting for 13.5% of the variance (p = 0.002), with the regression equation Ŷ = 26.694 + 0.409X. Implications: Smart Box can serve as one supporting medium for training student participation, including in schools with limited facilities, but it is not the sole determinant. The ex post facto design in a single school limits generalization and causal inference.
