The article examines the problem of assessing the quality of training of future primary school teachers in the field of methodological training. The necessity of correlating all the requirements defined in regulatory documents (competencies, labor functions) and formulating observable and measurable educational results within the framework of the study of specific disciplines is shown. Examples of assessment tools used in studying methods of teaching mathematics to primary schoolchildren are given.
