Developing digital literacy for college students and Establishing a new type of online lecture

As the digital transformation, representing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, spreads throughout society, Digital literacy is recognized as one of the essential competencies of modern society. In February 2024, the Central Internet Information Administration, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security jointly announced 'the Key point for improving Digital Literacy and Technology for all citizens in 2024'. It clearly stated that by the end of 2024, the level of national digital literacy and technology development in China must reach a new stage and the digital literacy and technology training system must be more established. The main implementation contents are to accelerate the digitalization process in China, provide important guidelines and supports for the comprehensive development of the digitalization process, and strongly promote the improvement of national digital literacy and technology in 2024. College students, the main figure in the era of intellectualization, must continuously improve their digital literacy in line with the needs of social development. This paper analyzes the important value of digital literacy education for college students in the era of intellectualization and summarizes the goal of digital literacy education for college students. Based on this, we will explain how to build a new type of online learning in university in the era of intellectualization and help foster an favorable environment for university students to master digital literacy through online education.
