An Efficient Library for Protocol Test on V93000

Modern SoC devices integrate multiple high-level IP cores. The control of these functional blocks usually is programed through interfaces such as JTAG, SPI, I2C, etc. For ATE test, Advantest SmarTest8 platform on V93000 provides Protocol Access library to simplify the register operations. It's a pattern-based software solution programming in Java. The protocol access API provides ways to generate patterns for protocol tests through test method. This paper will introduce an efficient library which is based on protocol access library. It takes the benefits of Protocol Access API and helps engineers to setup the protocol definition easily without touching java code. With this library, the initial study and developing time are greatly speed up. Zero code is needed to define protocols for a new development device. Its implementation is clean and neat.
