A survey reveals new nematophagous fungi taxa in Kings County, suggesting diverse fungal interactions.
A survey of nematophagus fungi conducted in the Kings County area of Nova Scotia yielded thirty-one taxa from a variety of substrates. Eleven of these fungi are predatory and twenty endoparasitic. Four species and one variety of the genera Nematoctonus Drechsler, Harposportum Lohde and Monacrosportium Oudemans are considered to be new and have been assigned provisional names. Descriptions and camera lucida drawings are provided for all fungi except Haptoglossa heterospora.
